Manager e-Business Projects

Responsible for managing the overall execution of projects primarily focusing on quality, cost, and schedule. Projects (approved by IT and Business budgets) may involve risk associated with significant risk return and risk to the Company, may include multiple functions/departments, involve significant efforts, impact Agents and customers (directly or indirectly), contain complex business, legal or regulatory issues.

Position Requirements

Develops project organizational structure based on the overall objective of the project.

Organizes and mobilizes project teams which may be comprised of internal and external (contractors/consultants) resources.

Develops and maintains project master plan in conjunction with team leads that outlines tasks, milestones, and schedules.

Manages the overall execution of projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with the project plan and business strategic and/or tactical objectives.

Manages Project Teams to ensure adequate support is provided to the project and timely execution is accomplished. This is accomplished by ensuring:

Develops and/ or revises procedures to support implementation of project objectives.

Develops necessary communication materials for all departments, state offices, Service Centers, agents, and customers.

Ensures field implementation plans are accomplished to support implementation.

Considers and addresses legal and regulatory issues associated with the project.

Understands and manages the impact of the project to the customer.

Manages project budgets to ensure execution is completed within allocated funding.

Conducts project communication and status meetings to ensure information flow among all Project Teams.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Clear understanding of operational challenges related to eCommerce
delivery.
Knowledge of standard technical requirements and practices
surrounding eCommerce.
Strong knowledge of Project-Management and SDLC processes and
methodology.
Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to apply concepts, practices
and procedures.

Physical Actions

Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 20 lbs. talking, hearing, and driving.

Physical Environment

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment, with occasional exposure to uncontrolled outside environmental conditions.

Education Requirements

Four year college degree Computer Science or Information Technology.

Experience Requirements

8 years of B2C eCommerce experience, including systems analysis,
construction, launch, and management of Financial Services web site of an appropriate scale.

Special Skills Requirements

Knowledgeable in use of special project management tools such as MS Project plus MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
