Creative Development Director-Marketing

Directs and oversees creative development of direct response acquisition marketing across an array of media outlets, including, but not limited to broadcast (primarily television), print, direct mail, out-of-home, and internet advertising excluding search. Works closely with the VP, Brand and Creative Development in defining and delivering a consistent execution of the 21st Century Insurance brand across creative platforms.

Individual will be responsible for overseeing the General Market creative development budget in conjunction with the VP of Brand and Creative Development. Will work closely with Affinity marketing managers to ensure that co-branded materials align with brand strategy. Oversees external marketing partner relationships and day-to-day operations and project management. Approves appropriate operational changes to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget parameters.

Position Requirements

•Develops and implements strategic and tactical communication plans for General Market and Affinity (Co-branded) programs. Executes brand strategy across all media campaigns while applying a consistent creative discipline to the evaluation and production of all concepts.
•Ensures all marketing concepts and creative development efforts are in alignment with business goals. Oversees key day-to-day liaisons with Senior Marketing including the Affinity Marketing Team, Legal and Compliance Management relative to all General Market and Affinity efforts.
•Responsible for establishing partnerships internally across functions and externally with marketing partners including negotiation of scope and fee contracts. Provides oversight in expense forecasting and accurate budget management. Manages and oversees the General Market and Affinity creative development budget including agency fees and all related creative production costs.
•Leads marketing and project teams involved with the implementation of all creative production. Ensures delivery of effective results (on time and on budget) and establishes unified team morale.
•Plays an active role in consumer and ad tracking research. Evaluates results to determine if message strategy is achieved. Provides feedback to senior management.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

•10 years experience in developing and managing direct response marketing plans; insurance or financial services background preferred. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required.

Education Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Experience Requirements

•10 years experience in developing and managing direct response marketing plans; insurance or financial services background preferred. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required.

Special Skills Requirements

•Advanced understanding of television and print production, including direct mail. Strong digital production skills a plus.
•Advanced ability to develop marketing strategy and tactical plans.
•Deep understanding of direct mail strategy and tactics.
•Proficient in understanding media planning and execution.
•Advanced ability to effectively evaluate and produce a wide array of creative marketing concepts.
•Experience with marketing to ethnic segments, such as the Hispanic market, a plus.
