Acts as internal consultant providing technical guidance on complex reporting issues. Contributes to the corporate Decision Support System design and development. Accountable for distribution of timely and accurate information to supported areas. Manages use of computing resources.
Position Requirements
Responsible for systems and procedures design and revision, plus documentation. Develops applications which effectively support the more complex business functions. Effectively designs and manages these applications to make the most cost efficient use of computing resources. Provides technical guidance and consultation on major highly complex decision support projects that cross functional/organizational lines. Utilizing resources of project teams by initiating procedures, revising the methodology used and assuring that the desired results are achieved. Maintains expertise in FIG reporting systems/data bases and is responsible for the validity and accuracy of processed information from existing applications. Provides input and guidance on corporate coding standards and their effect on current reporting. Maintains technical proficiency in both mainframe and PC tools for querying, analyzing and manipulating data and works to ensure compliance to corporate computing standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Info Buidlers FOCUS a plus.
Physical Actions
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing, lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs maximum, and seeing.
Physical Environment
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
Education Requirements
Four year degree in quantitative area.
Experience Requirements
Four years business experience including programming, systems analysis, with working knowledge of Foremost IT shop environment and 4th generation tools (both mainframe and micro).
