•Propose and lead innovative mathematical approaches to solving complex business problems, utilizing available research at your disposal.
•Mine prospect data attributes from internal and external sources to develop proprietary models to drive favorable marketing results.
•Perform analyses, statistical design, statistical coding, and model validation in support of business requirements.
•Generate statistical code that executes in an autonomous production environment and fully considers error handling, exception conditions, etc.
•Regularly query large datasets for statistical modeling purposes and ad hoc marketing analytics.
•Leverage Oracle data to increase analytical capabilities; proactively research the information to meet the needs of the marketing team and other end users, transform requirements into database query (Toad/SAS using SQL in an Oracle environment), compile and deliver ad hoc marketing analytics projects to end users on a regular basis.
•Assist the Director of Marketing Modeling and Analysis with data pulls, model validation and testing.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

•Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data mining/modeling, marketing analytics, database marketing, or other data intensive analytical role.
•Experience in data warehousing environment is required.
•Knowledgeable in statistical terminology and methodologies.
•Direct Marketing and/or Insurance experience a plus.
•Functional proficiency of SQL and Oracle data environment.
•Demonstrable experience in data manipulation, evaluation and presentation.
•Experience using SAS and/or Toad is a plus.
•Must possess advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including experience with pivot tables, linking to external data, and using VBA as an automation tool.
•Requires strong attention to detail and follow through.
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take on responsibility and work well under deadlines.
•Must be able to work independently, and have the tenacity to research and overcome problems.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Experience working in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
•Able to take direction and work independently towards a goal.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
