Director-Direct Mail Analytics

•Manages the direct mail process as a means of targeting prospective customers that generate the greatest lifetime value to the firm.

Position Requirements

•Manages the input of modeled assumptions into the direct mail selection process, works with outside marketing vendors to implement each mail campaign, and develops direct mail forecasts for the company.
•Assists in the development of test campaigns to improve policy yield and recommends appropriate testing volumes to get statistically significant read. Experience in experimental design preferable.
•Tracks the results of each mail campaign, determines the effectiveness of modeled assumptions, and makes changes on a prospective basis to improve the accuracy of the process.
•Tracks the results of newly tested direct mail kits and determines the expected gain of implementing new designs on a prospective basis

Preferred Skills and Abilities

•Ideal candidate also has a background in insurance or financial services.
•Candidate needs to be familiar with database marketing techniques, prospect-level data attributes (TU, ITA, TUPS, etc) and how to build effective response, conversion and retention models to target customers with the greatest lifetime value to the firm.
•Experience using SAS for data modeling is preferred.
•Must possess advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
•Strong attention to detail and process.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to balance high quality standards with schedule pressures.
•Experience working in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
•Able to take direction and work independently towards a goal.

Education Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA or MS degree is a plus.

Experience Requirements

•Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of experience in marketing analysis, regression analysis (linear and logistic) and database marketing.
