Develop in-house center of excellence in customer analysis, database marketing and segmentatoin.

Position Requirements

•Oversee the marketing model development function, supervising the development of key segmentation models and other models used for targeted marketing and media mix optimization.
•Strategically assess business opportunities through data mining, statistical analysis and leveraging key business insights to deliver maximum lead volumes with minimize acquisition cost.
•Coordinate the analysis of specific drivers of media channel performance, including television, Internet and direct mail with media managers and direct reports, deriving correlations between the composition of media spend and subsequent inquiry volume.
•Oversee the analysis of all marketing campaigns including seasonality and response patterns, and variances between expected and actual results, across all media channels.
•Identify new sources of actionable data, data-capture mechanisms, and means of data-integration into database (e.g., transactional data, 3rd party data, web traffic data, etc).
•Maintain and improve ongoing marketing programs, analyses, reports, and lists that require customer data/information and analytical/statistical methodologies.
•Influence internal clients on the best analytics approach to address their challenge. Requires integrating knowledge of business issues with expertise in analytical and statistical methodologies and customer data.
•Synthesize data and present results with appropriate business insight/context in writing and orally to clients, including Officers. Provide strategic recommendations.
•Manage and develop professional staff: 1) Delegate work, 2) Provide project supervision, including client consultations, and 3) Provide expert counsel on analytical methodologies as well as business knowledge context. Establish ongoing training and oversight to constantly develop the skills of the Modeling & Analysis team.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

•Minimum 10 years of analytics experience, preferably in marketing and in insurance or financial services industry.
•Minimum 3 years managing an analytical staff.

Education Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
•Preference for Master's degree in applied analytical discipline such as statistics, econometrics or mathematics.

Experience Requirements

•Minimum 10 years of analytics experience, preferably in marketing and in insurance or financial services industry.
•Minimum 3 years managing an analytical staff.

Special Skills Requirements

•Candidates should have knowledge of various database systems and modeling tools as well as extensive experience in logistic regression, cluster detection, artificial neural network, data transformation and cleansing for modeling, and other data mining techniques.
•In-depth and thorough knowledge of analytical and statistical methodologies.
•Expert in SAS for data access, data manipulation, analyses, and model building.
•Expert in MS-Excel.
•Knowledge of UNIX and accessing relational databases such as Oracle is a plus.
•Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills.
•Must be able to work with large datasets.
•Ability to work with time series and/or highly seasonal data (auto regression).
•Superior influencing and interpersonal skills.
•Superior oral and written communication skills. Experience in presenting findings to management.
•Very attentive to detail and keeps big picture in mind.
•Strong work ethic and self-starter.
•Experience in data warehousing environment is preferred.
•Ability to balance high quality standards with schedule pressures.
•Experience working in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
•Able to take direction and work independently towards a goal.
