This opportunity services Westchester County in New York.  You will receive a company car, laptop, and cell phone to help your success in this position.  The Claims Representative will work virtually, out of their home office.

The Claims Representative will inspect damaged commerical property and determine claims related damage. Will be estimating the cost of repairs to damaged or stolen property as well as estimate the replacement cost to damaged or stolen property. Identify subrogation rights, report on the claim status and negotiate the settlement of claim.

Our Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
o Four-year college degree
o Min. 2-years experience in Commercial Property Claims Adjusting.

o Xactimate
o Have excellent customer service, communication, sound judgment and decision-making skills
o Valid driver's license
o Bondable
o Computer proficiency
o Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus!

Physical Environment

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but with exposure to some or all of the following environments when in the field: Uncontrolled outside environmental conditions Excessive Noise Levels Chemicals Chemical/Biological Conditions Moving Mechanical Parts Areas considered dangerous Conditions, which could affect the respiratory system or skin such as: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, oils, smoke, soot, or poor ventilation.

Education Requirements

Four-year college degree. Outside insurance education, e.g., CPCU or GCA is preferred.

Experience Requirements

Successful completion of the Senior Claims Representative Certification process required, including all prerequisites, required tool proficiencies (i.e., Xactimate, Collosus, etc.) and exams. External candidates have 90 days from date of hire to complete the process, and should have a minimum of two years of prior claims experience.

Special Skills Requirements
