Claims Representative - National Property Theft - Los Angeles-Pasadena areas

Investigate residential property Theft claims. This position requires you to work Virtually and involves approximately 85% - 95% field work.

This territory covers the greater LOS ANGELES area, including but not limited to La Mirada, West Covina, San Gabriel and Pasadena.

Position Requirements

Investigates residential property Theft claims. Handles reports of theft. Performs most duties on an individual basis. Personal contacts are a major part of activity and include policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and all other persons incident to the investigation and processing of claims. Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Strongly prefer Claims Adjusting experience.
Bi-lingual skills preferred but not required.
Construction knowledge helpful.

Must be able to access small spaces.
Bending, Carrying up to 50 lbs., Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Physical Environment

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but with exposure to some or all of the following environments when in the field:
Uncontrolled outside environmental conditions Excessive Noise Levels Chemicals Chemical/Biological Conditions Moving Mechanical Parts Areas considered dangerous Conditions, which could affect the respiratory system or skin such as: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, oils, smoke, soot, or poor ventilation.

Education Requirements

4-year college Degree required.
Must achieve minimum passing scores on all claims training exams.

Experience Requirements

2+ years Customer Service or Sales experience required.
Strongly prefer Claims Adjusting experience
Excellent Time-management skills
Ability to Multi-task
Proven ability to effectively Communicate verbally and in writing
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Bi-lingual skills preferred but not required
Construction knowledge helpful.

Special Skills Requirements

Valid driver's license and ability to drive car.
Ability to use a computer keyboard.
Must be Bondable.
May work non-traditional schedule.
