Sells assigned personal lines products to direct inbound callers in accordance with prescribed procedures and underwriting standards.
Sells new business generated from inbound and outbound follow up calls.
Position Requirements
21st Century Insurance, a member of the Farmers Insurance Group of companies, has openings in their Lake Mary Call Center Sales Department.
Sales Reps are responsible for:
-gathering data from inbound calling customers to generate accurate quotes and ultimately bind the auto policy business.
-answering customer questions regarding coverage and cost so that the customer can select the most appropriate coverage.
-close sales in an inbound and outbound environment meeting all sales performance objectives in accordance with company risk selection criteria and sound and ethical sales methods and procedures.
Shifts will vary ending between 9pm and midnight and will include 1 weekend day. Please note-many shifts may be four 10 hr work days but will also include a weekend day.
Training Class will start on Monday 9/13/2010.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Previous sales experience is required.
Property and Casualty License (2044) is required (can be acquired through training paid for by company).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Previous call center experience is preferred.
Previous insurance experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of various inbound and outbound telemarketing sales methods and techniques, P&C auto, homeowners and personal umbrella (PUL) products is preferred.
Working knowledge of various state underwriting, operational, compliance and motor vehicle reports is preferred.
Working knowledge of sales quoting software and predictive dialer technology and aggressive outbound sales techniques is preferred.
Must be flexible to work in a metric driven call center environment.

Besides some sedentary work, job duties require some or all of thefollowing physical activities: Standing, carrying/lifting up to 10pounds, seeing and hearing, walking, reaching, pushing and pulling, andspeaking, reading, and writing.

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlledoffice environment.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma and college-level courses or equivalent knowledgeacquired through work experience and training. Current P<(>&<)>Cinsurance license.
