Supports assigned production systems and process, including both internally developed tools and third-party software. Analyzes programs and systems to ensure efficient use of resources and recommend changes as necessary. Analyzes users’ needs, design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software and systems in accordance with standard procedures and conventions. Conducts preliminary estimates for the level of effort of new/changed application functionality. Works closely with business units and understand customers’ processes and products. Maintains systems documentation in accordance with Internal Control Framework (ICF) standards.
Position Requirements
Oversees the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution associated with assigned production systems. Leads implementation efforts of production systems as required.
Collaborates with end user, IT staff, and others to conduct needs analysis and create preliminary design studies for approval by the executive staff. Directs the efforts to construct, test, and deploy automation tools.
Analyzes existing production systems, ensuring efficient use of resources as well as making suggestions for continued, future improvements.
Direct ad-hoc research, development, and completion of special projects as required.
Supervise assigned personnel. Responsible for professional and technical development of staff, hiring new staff, and developing performance plans and evaluations for direct reports.
Maintains documentation for supported procedures and systems in accordance with applicable standards and conventions.
Engages in ongoing communications with customer base so as to understand and be comfortable with the business processes that are being supported.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
3+ years working with relational databases (including both MS Access and SQL Server 2000/2005).
2+ years in application development, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, and documentation.
1+ years experience with Windows, MS Office, VB .NET, ASP .NET
Physical Actions
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting ofoccasional walking, standing, and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs.maximum, hearing and seeing.
Physical Environment
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlledoffice environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
CPA or CMA designation preferred.
Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.
Experience Requirements
External candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of prior Accounting or Finance experience including 1 year as an Accounting or Finance Supervisor. The same time-on-job requirement is preferred for internal candidates.
Special Skills Requirements
• Knowledge and experience in programming (i.e. VBA and VB .NET)
• Knowledge and experience designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases (i.e. MS Access, SQL Server)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Logical and disciplined thinker and problem solver
