This position is responsible for increasing profitability and growth of the personal line by soliciting and selling AIGH Personal Auto in adherence to company standards and objectives. If required, provide additional support to customer service and walk-in areas in order to meet customer’s needs.
Position Requirements
1. Sell auto product • Take incoming calls • Determine customer profiles and expectations in order to determine coverages and solutions • Provide recommendation based on assessed risk • Underwrite the policy based on guidelines • Explain auto coverages • Educate customers on auto features and benefits • Request/collect necessary documents from customers • Check customer’s driving record • Obtain accurate information from customers • Accurately process customer’s quote • Proactively seek to increase sales opportunities by up-selling additional coverages and/or other lines of insurance • Provide auto premium and terms in accordance to company guidelines • Follow company policies and procedures • Provide the best customer service possible • If required, provide assistance to customer service and walk-in areas • Remain current on underwriting guidelines and company 1-STOP system • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction • Bind coverage over the telephone 2. Conduct outbound calls • Make sales calls on marketing leads and referrals resulting to field activity within 48 hours • Make sales calls on Internet leads within 48 hours • Make sales calls on Direct Mail promotion within 48 hours • Make sales calls on Special Outbound Projects within 48 hours • Set up and update customer’s file based on outcome of the outbound call 3. Participate in off-site marketing events; provide on-site quote quotes and policy review to existing and potential customers. 4. Proactively recommend changes to policies, procedures and/or guidelines to ensure efficiency. This will increase productivity, retention, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Physical Actions
Frequent use of computers, telephones and other office equipment and frequent wrist movement. Working position is mostly sitting with occasional standing, walking, bending or crouching. Work requires independent judgment/decision making ability; analytical ability, attention to detail, concentration and alertness, must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Must be able available to work 7:30 am – 8:00 pm Monday through Sunday.

Education Requirements
High School diploma
Experience Requirements
This position typically requires at least 1-2 years sales and customer related work experience. Six months to 1 year personal lines experience desirable.

Must have strong interpersonal and verbal communication skill Must have the ability to persuade and influence others Must be able to work independently Must be self-motivated Must maintain a Solicitors Property and Casualty license within 45 days Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and 1-STOP system Must type 25 wpm
