21C-Database Administrator Senior

The employee’s primary responsibilities are utilizing MS/SQL Server to support development as a member of a project resource pool or application development team providing and preparing database specifications and managing database implementations. Once the database is in production, the employee is responsible to ensure proper database administration and support.

Position Requirements

•Develop procedures and best practices for configuration management, patching and upgrading, operating systems interoperability, regular maintenance, backup, recovery, trouble shooting, security, db and SQL tuning, db and object administration, job management, data transfers, and replication, user account administration, and risk management.
•Handle moderate to complex problem resolution without escalation and with minimal supervision.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Experience Requirements

•Provide consultation to the applications staff in the design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of new databases instances and revisions to existing ones.
•Provide technical leadership to other database professionals.
•Define and analyze data requirements for database designs and infrastructure.

Special Skills Requirements

•5 year progressive database experience including 3 years experience in Database Administration with 2 years experience developing complex SQL queries.
