-Evaluate user requirements, provide recommendations and implement technology solutions to support the objectives of the business units. Includes development as well as maintenance and enhancements.
Position Requirements
-Plan and manage activities of a staff of 5 or more technical employees.
-Supervise staff, establish infrastructure project plans, allocate resources and conduct performance appraisals.
-Manage the technical design, testing and implementation of infrastructure related projects.
-Manage staff to ensure alignment of departmental activities with organizational goals.
-Coordinate resources and activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity.
-Identify and resolve issues.
-Establish, develop, implement and review department policies and procedures.
-Provide recommendations on pay, performance management, employment and staffing decisions.
-Responsible for administrative functions of the group such as budget, attendance and headcount.
-Communicate with technical peers such as BSA's, SDM's, data center SME's and their managers. Also communicate with upper management in IT and the business units.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
-8-10 years application/solution development or project management experience including significant experience managing one of the following: client server, mainframe or web system programming projects.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Functional knowledge of networking platforms, Internet POP and dual DMZ, firewalls, UNIX and Windows server platforms including virtual server technology, data storage technology including SAN's.
-PMP certification.
-ITIL certification (version 2 or 3) helpful.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
