Responsible for the creation of and administration of interactive website pages on the Internet. Balances experience in usability and information architecture with graphic design. Responsible for front-end page design - from the gathering of business requirements through the site integration, while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Requirements
Researches, consults with clients and creates interactive website pages, forms, security documentation and procedures, database interfaces, and visual image consistency.
Initiates, develops and implements short and long-term plans for the retrieval of information to and from the website, database utilization and management, website interfaces to business databases, progressive website improvement, and improvement of user interactive website capabilities.
Develops and implements website scripting and programming, cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility, reporting procedures.
Analysis, diagnoses, and provides solutions to website opportunities and functional problems. Provides personal, web-based, and phone consultation help desk services to clients and site users.
Provides technical website problem solving and consultation to meet the needs of the users consistently and effectively.
Manages and maintains the Internet and Intranet web servers, including uploading of pages, the integration of page content, application compatibility, messaging transfers and the establishing of page links throughout the Internet and Intranet systems.
Manages and monitors the effectiveness of website links, service providers, application and database utilization, security directories, and project assignments.
Establishes and manages website user standards, services and expectations. Reports on assignment implementation status.
Directs Internet service providers and internal service providers to accomplish objectives; solves website problems, and develops solutions to provide user friendly website interaction.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Experience in creating and maintaining various Web sites
Strong knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets
Strong knowledge of Dreamweaver
Strong design/visual communication skills
Familiarity with Web Content Management Systems
Excellent interpersonal skills
Understanding of Search Engine Optimization
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite Design software
Physical Actions
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 20 lbs. Maximum, bending, talking, hearing, some cleaning and driving.
Physical Environment
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate controlled office environment.
Education Requirements
Four Year Degree and or related experience in web design.
Experience Requirements
3-5 years system development and information technology analysis and implementation experience. Programming and web application integration experience.
Successful proven track record in project planning, project analysis, project management and developing cross-departmental project implementation.
